Become an animal storyteller at the library!
We're partnering with Hand in Paw to bring four-legged reading buddies into the library! Register for a time slot and enjoy a cozy reading session with a therapy-trained dog or cat. Hand in Paw Therapy Teams help individuals build reading skills, gain confidence, and foster pro-social behaviors. Bring your own book or check one out from the library and get ready to become an animal storyteller!
You can register to read to a dog from 11-1, or read to a cat from 1-3.
Sessions will be held in our 2 study rooms, and children, teens, and parents are welcome to join in on the fun.
We ask that you bring no more than 4 people total per session and that a parent or guardian remain in the room for the duration of the session.
Registration is required for each group of visitors. Registration will open on April 11th.
